Our very own Sr. Maccoux has been selected as an Exemplary Educator by the New Jersey Department of Education for 2021!
The Exemplary Educator program follows a rigorous selection process to recognize teachers who have demonstrated exceptional teaching and leadership abilities, and have had a positive impact on students, colleagues, and the school community.
This will come as no surprise to those of you whose children have been in Sr. Maccoux’s class, but we are thrilled to receive this recognition at the state level, and we could not be more proud on his behalf.
Sr. Maccoux joined HoLa in 2015, and served first as a 3rd Grade Lead Teacher, before moving to our Middle School, where he currently teaches 7th & 8th Grade Spanish Language Arts and worked closely with Ms. Medina to develop an AP curriculum for that gradespan, which has recently been officially approved by the College Board. Sr. Maccoux is also the lead facilitator for La Liga de la Justicia Social (Social Justice League), which meets regularly to discuss issues of social justice and collaborate with Colegio NILE, a partner school in Spain.
