Our Immersion trip is a way for families to spend vacations together, with friends, in a Spanish immersion environment where students can excel and practice their language skills.

HoLa Goes to Ecuador

This year, HoLa will be holding it’s first family immersion trip during spring break! 4-8th grade students and parents are invited to experience a culturally immersive 8-day trip during Spring Break 2018 to Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands. We have been working with Vámonos Tours (our Puerto Rico guides) to create an immersion trip experience, for students and parents alike, in a Spanish-speaking context. The activities for this trip will be geared for families, designed for all to enjoy. Siblings who are not in 4-8th will be considered on a case by case basis and space is limited since only a certain number of visitors are allowed in the Galápagos Islands per year for conservation purposes.

The group will be hiking an active volcano, exploring beautiful beaches, snorkeling with seals, encountering giant tortoises, and learning about Ecuadorian culture. We will also explore the Darwin Research center and relax at the beach, all while immersing in a Spanish speaking context. This will be the trip of a lifetime!
