Our curriculum is designed with an emphasis in the arts. Our teachers implement a cross-cultural integration of the arts in to the classroom, along with instruction in, and exposure to, various media through weekly art and music classes, field trips and residencies. Students get “special” classes: art, music, gym, and other rotating “specials” provided by artists-in-residence, such as international dance, yoga and instrumental instruction.
Artists in Residence
Our arts program continues to grow! To supplement the offerings provided by our full-time Art and Music teachers, we bring in artists in residence to provide classes in dance, yoga, drawing/painting and instrumental instruction.
Every year, our elementary students perform what they have learned in their art, music, and dance classes in our Winter and Spring concerts. Middle School students showcase the work done in their arts electives at our Winter and Spring Art Exhibitions. Students showcase musical ensembles, vocal performances, art and design projects as well as choral arrangements.
Every year, student artwork is exhibited in our annual HoLa MoMa show. Parents and family members can see outstanding student work created by students throughout the year.
