Summer Camp 2016

Please note that camp will now be held at our elementary school which is located at 123 Jefferson Street.

The Aventuras Summer Camp here at HoLa is off to a fantastic start and our campers have been enjoying our weekly ‘trips’ to Spanish speaking countries.

Their days have been filled with new friends, activities, projects, learning, and for many a new language!

Together, campers will be exploring a different Latin American country each week, taking virtual tours in our classrooms and learning about the specific country and culture through art, poetry, dance, food, and more.

Attached, you find forms that need to be returned on or before the first day camp.

Our Camp Leaders have been purposefully planning ways to infuse their days with the culture, music, and key targeted vocabulary each week.

Based on the intensity of the swim program, many new students can be a bit exhausted so we’ve decided to dial back the pool time for our campers.

We still want the children to have the opportunity to play and be outdoors for two water days each week, but only one day will now be in the pool, also feel free to send your child in with a life-vest if it makes your child feel more comfortable. On Tuesdays, our campers will be out in the sprinklers, the sprinklers are located at Madison St Park (on the corner of 3rd & Madison St).

As always, if you’d prefer for your child to just play in the sprinklers both days that is an option as well.
