HoLa Nutrition Policy
Like many Americans, we are concerned about obesity and other outcomes of poor nutrition in our nation’s school-aged population. Studies have shown that a poor diet and a lack of exercise in childhood have negative impacts not only physical health throughout the lifespan, but also mood and the ability and motivation to learn. HoLa seeks to promote lifelong healthy eating habits in our children through a wholesome nutrition policy that informs our school lunch program and our rules and recommendations for food brought to school by children and their parents and caregivers.
