HoLa teams with HFA and Project Play on the Viridian Fundraiser
When the PTO voted to implement the Viridian Fundraiser there was an opportunity to not only benefit HoLa but to help the greater Hoboken Community. As many of you know, Project Play was formed to lead an initiative to rebuild ailing sections of Hoboken’s public parks, starting with one of the most urgent needs, Church Square Park. Zabrina Stoffel, a parent of a HoLa first grader, has been leading this initiative. The key to PROJECT PLAY is to build a park that uses environmentally-sustainable building materials. PROJECT PLAY, implemented the Viridian Fundraiser in July 2010 as a way to partner their GREEN efforts with the GREEN efforts of Viridian. Working with Viridian Energy, Project Play will also benefit from the HoLa Fundraiser.
How does HoLa raise money while helping Project Play?
HoLa has set up a Viridian web portal (www.viridian.com/holahoboken). For every household that switches their electricity supplier to Viridian, HoLa will earn a monthly referral fee. This fee is paid by Viridian to HoLa. In addition to the monthly referral fee, HoLa has an opportunity to receive Cash Bonuses when they meet different levels of customer support. Viridian will also pay a smaller referral fee to PROJECT PLAY for every customer that switches to Viridian through HoLa. You switch your electricity and BOTH HoLa and PROJECT PLAY earn money!
What better way to raise money for our beloved school, save money for the individuals in our community and support a Sustainability Initiative that teaches our students the importance of preserving their environment!!
Making the switch is simple!
There are no enrollment or cancellation fees for switching to Viridian or for switching back to the utility. You will continue to receive ONE bill from PSE&G, Viridian will be listed as the supplier and you continue to make your payments as you always have to PSE&G. Once your application is approved you will receive a letter from PSE&G confirming that you have chosen Viridian as your third party supplier and that they will continue to service and delivery the energy to you
